| So heres the situation, I've known this girl from my program for a good 6 months or so. She didn't move home for the summer, and stayed in the city where I live. Anyways, shes asked me to come over a couple of times to watch a movie, or go rollerblading..now the thing is I have feelings for her, and I don't know if she feels the same towards me. Since the first day I seen her, my mind went crazy. That puts me in a jam because I'm not good at expressing emotions...thats my delema, don't know if it helps much. |

| ive been in your shoes. recently.my current boyfriend wouldnt tell me how he felt. i ended up hurting him because i didnt know how he felt about me. well he told me and now we are as happy as ever. just tell her how you feel. it will help you out alot. and honestly she has so sort of feelings for you. so the only way things can get better is for you to let her know how you feel. becasue if you dont. she wont know. and it could end up hurting you later in the long run. just a thought. =] |

"The only thing to fear is fear itself!"
Expressing your feelings to someone you want to be close with is a basic requirement in relationships. Someone has to take the first step and say something, or do something that would elicit a response. What I hear holds many singles back is FEAR. And fear of pain is the most common reason why singles don't express their feelings or ask for what they want. But isn't it more painful to wait and see than take the initiative yourself?
If you can't say what you're feeling, then what are you expecting to happen instead? Real intimacy doesn't happen by magic -- it requires effort and risk. Knowing if someone shares your feelings is what you want, right? So you'll have to take the risk and get the ball rolling somehow (see post from hollywood528 as a good example).
Good luck! |
